Why Whuman exists?

By the founder of Whuman Health

I didn’t start building Whuman just because I love health tech. I started it because, like millions of women, I spent years knowing something was wrong—and being told everything was fine.

I was confused. Scared. Lonely. Emotional in ways that didn’t feel like me. My symptoms came and went, never fitting neatly into a single explanation. How was I supposed to make sense of them? How could I manage them alongside the rest of my life? And almost every time I asked for help, I left appointments with more doubt than answers. To be honest, sometimes it felt easier to ignore everything unless I felt like I was dying.

What I didn’t realize then, but understand deeply now, is that my experience wasn’t rare. It was the rule.

Over time, drawing on my scientific background, I began to approach my health differently. I learned to understand my symptoms, track patterns, and show up to appointments prepared and proactive. I realized that while a doctor might not remember every test, biopsy, or detail of my history, I would.

That’s when everything changed.

I became the expert on my own body. And with Whuman, I hope every woman who feels lost, confused, or unheard can take agency over her health and advocate for herself with evidence—not just “feelings.”

“Women don’t imagine their symptoms. Medicine simply isn’t built to interpret them well.”
